College Library

The College Library provides access to a wide range of reference collections, including encyclopaedias, yearbooks, dictionaries, atlases, biographies, competitive examination books, and reports. All reference books are meant for in-library consultation only.

Newspaper reading huts and magazine stands are provided for readers on each floor of the library, ensuring a comfortable reading environment.

Library Administration

The College Library is administered by the Library Committee. The Librarian serves as the Member Secretary, while the Teachers-in-Charge of all departments are members of the Library Committee. The Staff Council of the college elects a Convener of the Library Committee.

The tenure of the Convener and the Teachers-in-Charge is one year. As a statutory body, the Library Committee periodically provides recommendations for the improvement of the library and its services.

Collection Development

The College Library acquires books and reading resources based on the recommendations of the Teachers-in-Charge of various departments. General and reference books required by the library are purchased by the Librarian, in consultation with the Convener of the Library Committee.
